The 44-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-4100 printer is made to go above and beyond what is expected of a large format printer in terms of image quality and colour consistency. A balance between exceptional print quality and speed is achieved through the use of a 1.28-inch wide 12-channel integrated compact print head, the LUCIA PRO ink set plus Chroma Optimizer, a high-precision mechanical platform, and the L-COA PRO high-speed image processing engine.
Intuitive technology has been incorporated into the imagePROGRAF PRO-4100's design to provide advanced media handling, more security features, borderless printing, and improved operational design.
The imagePROGRAF Pro-4100 Printer from Canon offers you stunning black-and-white prints with deep blacks, finely detailed gradations, and a wide colour gamut that faithfully reproduces the most challenging colours. It was made for professional photographers and graphic designers. A PF-10 print head is 1.28" wide, has 18,432 nozzles with anti-clogging FINE technology and offers a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi. The LUCIA PRO 11-Color plus Chroma Optimizer ink system offers superb image clarity, accurate colour reproduction, and enhanced detail in shadowy areas. The Device Management Console Software that comes with the printer allows you to calibrate and keep track of up to 50 PRO Series printers. An integrated multi-sensor ensures that the colours are consistent from print to print.
An imagePROGRAF printer can now load and recognize paper automatically for the first time ever. Just position the roll holder in the printer, and the media will feed into the print automatically. Without the need for manual entry, the built-in multi-sensor measures the surface reflection and the media thickness to identify the type of media.
Save both ink and media by accurately measuring the remaining amount of media on a roll without printing a bar code.
For simple operation, the large 4.3" LCD operation panel makes use of touch screen technology from smartphones. For ease of use, the top three most frequently used commands—Load, Feed, and Cut—now each have their own buttons below the operation panel.

There is no need to manually switch between the ink tanks because the matte black and photo black inks each have their own specialized nozzles. The PF-10 produces quick print speeds while lowering the risk of clogging. It has a 1.28" wide print head with 18,432 nozzles and anti-clogging FINE technology. 27 sensors carefully monitor the ink ejection process, and if a clog is found, a backup nozzle will kick in. After a few easy steps on the printer's control panel, the colour calibration is quickly completed. Adjustments are made to the other Canon-supported media using a single colour calibration that was completed with one kind of media.
Remote colour calibrations are possible with the Device Management Console software, which is great for fleet management. With this software, you can check the amount of ink left in the printers without ever leaving the comfort of your desk, receive email notifications when an error has occurred, or monitor the status of up to 50 printers from anywhere in the world.
The unibody design offers a solid foundation for a steady print head scanning, which leads to precise ink droplet placement. This new design achieves the ideal balance between printing quality and speed.
The optional Multifunction Roll System is a flexible media handling solution system that enables either the loading of the second roll of media onto the printer or the unit's configuration as a bi-directional media Take-up unit. It also makes use of Canon's new intelligent media handling.
Dual-Roll Feeding: This feature enables users to load a second roll of a different media type and size so they can switch from printing on matte to glossy paper at the same time without pausing their work to reload. Additionally, by allowing two rolls of the same media to be fed to the printer, the second roll can be used to support high-volume printing.
Bi-Directional Rewinding: The operator can also set up the Multifunction Roll System as a take-up unit to rewind longer printouts. Bi-directional rewinding is supported by the user's option to rewind media with the printed surface on the inside or outside of the roll.
On the imagePROGRAF PRO-4100, PDF and JPEG files can be printed directly from USB thumb drives. Just insert the thumb drive into the printer's USB port, view the image on the control panel, and press print! Without a computer, printing is quick and simple.
You have the choice to buy ink based on your printing requirements because it comes in 160ml, 330ml, and 700ml ink tanks. You have the option to purchase ink based on the colour frequency at which you print, with 700ml photo black ink tanks available for those who frequently print nightscapes and 160ml magenta ink tanks for the occasional image of a sunset.
The Sub-Ink Tank System helps prevent ink waste by allowing a tank's available ink to be used up completely before needing to be replaced. Without pausing the printer, the empty tanks can also be changed on the fly. This will come in very handy for those lengthy print jobs.
