For the SOLJET family of printers, Roland DG's newest flagship inkjet print/cut solution is the PRO4 XR-640. The exceptional image quality of the XR-640 can be the foundation upon which you can build your company and your reputation, all the while providing the most well-liked and lucrative applications that are simply unavailable to your rivals. The Roland DG PRO series inkjets are known throughout the industry for their superior engineering, dependable performance, and unmatched versatility.
The 64-inch SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640, Roland's fastest and most potent large-format color printer/cutter ever, ushers in a new era of performance, accuracy, and quality. The print engine is the Pro 4's brains. Utilizing the most recent inkjet technology, it has two inline 8-channel piezo inkjet heads with 180 nozzles each, each of which can print droplets of seven different sizes for output that is denser and has smoother gradients in photographic and high-resolution vector formats. Even in bi-directional printing modes, chromatic banding is virtually eliminated by the print heads' mirrored configuration.
The 64-inch width of the Pro 4 is perfect for large applications like vehicle wraps. Our high-density Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks produce images with unparalleled quality and a wider gamut at all print speeds. A Predictive Ink Calculator, Spot Color Replacement Tool, and integrated PANTONE spot color libraries are just a few of the robust VersaWorksTM RIP features that fully utilize the Pro 4's capabilities. The final results are the best prints ever created on a Roland device, with consistent, effective performance. Production has begun. Perfected.
The XR-640 is equipped with the newest dual print heads, which fire droplets of seven different sizes to optimize image quality for the chosen media and print resolutions, to deliver the outstanding image quality that professionals in the sign industry demand. For unparalleled image quality, the XR-640's print control technology, high-performance print heads, and ECO-SOL MAX3 inks extract every nuance. Our ink chemistry has been fine-tuned, along with precise head control and drop placement, to significantly increase ink adhesion. For the most discerning customers, this enables high-density coverage in addition to deep, rich colors that can create subtle nuances within the image.
The first printer to use Roland's high-definition Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks is the Pro 4. Additionally, they have improved production quality. Nickel-free MAX 2 inks are specially created to deliver a wider color gamut with exceptional detail in the highlights and smoother blends. They are also practically odorless and environmentally friendly. Higher density MAX 2 inks result in better ink coverage and more vibrant color at faster rates when used with our print heads and smaller droplets.
You can choose from a variety of specialty inks with MAX 2 inks and the Pro 4 that enhance any graphic. More neutral greys, softer gradients, and more accurate skin tones are all delivered by our Light Black ink. White ink with a higher density allows for more opacity and makes graphics stand out on transparent media. A Metallic Silver formulation produces a brighter output and can be used as a pure spot color in printing or combined with CMYK to create over 500 eye-catching metallic and pearlescent colors. Additionally, our White and Silver inks can now be printed up to twice as quickly as before.
Print & Cut technology enables you to cut any shape Roland DG’s renowned integrated Print & Cut technology offers the power and versatility your business demands. It prints and then automatically contour cuts images into any shape in one seamless workflow. With the XR-640, you can create a variety of custom applications quickly, easily, and profitably, including POP, floor signage, stickers, vehicle decals, and apparel heat transfers.
Up to 21.6m2/h of high-quality production at high speed for volume production For consistent imaging and bi-directional printing, the XR-640 has a dual inline print head configuration that is mirrored through seven colors. With production quality, this cutting-edge system can print up to 21.6 m2 per hour on vinyl and banners. The Intelligent Pass Control feature from Roland further improves image quality by precisely regulating the location, quantity, and density of ink to significantly lessen banding.
The Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP and print management software are included with the XR-640. The PANTONE spot color used in the design file is automatically converted to a CMYK value when using the PANTONE library in VersaWorks, and the resulting color is then closely matched to one within the ECO-SOL MAX3 ink set's color gamut. When working with properly profiled media, this streamlined workflow reduces the amount of time needed for color matching and enables quick output of specific colors. Additionally, any of the more than 1,000 standard colors and 512 metallic shades in the Roland Color System, which is a component of VersaWorks Dual, can be used in place of spot colors.
