The 60-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-6100 printer is made to go above and beyond what is expected of a large format printer in terms of image quality and colour consistency. A balance between exceptional print quality and speed is achieved through the use of a 1.28-inch wide 12-channel integrated compact print head, the LUCIA PRO ink set plus Chroma Optimizer, a high-precision mechanical platform, and the L-COA PRO high-speed image processing engine.
With the improved operational design, borderless printing increased security features, and intelligent technology for advanced media handling, the imagePROGRAF PRO-6100 has been created.
An imagePROGRAF printer can now load and recognize paper automatically for the first time ever. Just position the roll holder in the printer, and the media will feed into the printer automatically. Without the need for manual entry, the built-in multi-sensor measures the surface reflection and the media thickness to identify the type of media.
Remaining Media Estimation
Accurately measure the remaining media on a roll, without the need to print a bar code - saving both ink and media!
The large 4.3" LCD operation panel utilizes smartphone touch screen technology for easy operation. The top three most-used commands: Load, Feed and Cut, now have their own buttons below the operation panel for ease of use.
Enhanced Security
Advanced security features were built in, increasing administrative control over end-user printing. These features include support for secure PIN printing to protect data.
The LUCIA PRO ink set uses a Chroma Optimizer and 11 pigment ink colours. The LUCIA PRO ink formulation includes microencapsulated colourants that enable smooth gradients, an expanded colour gamut, and deeper colour expression. It was specifically created to meet the needs of even the most demanding photographers.
You can achieve stunning colour reproduction, image clarity, and improved darker areas with the aid of this system. The addition of a Chroma Optimizer is a first for Canon's large format printers. This serves as a clear coat when printing on glossy and semi-glossy paper, enhancing the dark areas of a print by enhancing colour performance and gloss characteristics.
This ink set helps:
The PRO Series is made to function seamlessly across various media types. There is no need to manually switch between the ink tanks because the matte black and photo black inks each have their own specialized nozzles. You can print on glossy paper and then fine art paper without any issues, modifications, or wastage.
The PF-10, a 1.28"-wide print head with 18,432 nozzles equipped with anti-clogging FINE technology, generates fast print speeds while reducing the possibility of clogging. 27 sensors carefully monitor the ink ejection process, and if a clog is found, a backup nozzle will kick in. Compared to earlier imagePROGRAF print heads, this one is wider, necessitating the use of just one print head rather than two. One print head means a smaller, more portable printer that can print more quickly without sacrificing print quality.
The L-COA PRO high-speed image processing engine powers the imagePROGRAF printers. This high-precision control engine processes enormous amounts of image data using three processing chips and regulates the best ink layout for high-resolution prints.
The purpose of the colour calibration function is to deliver accurate colour reproduction. The upgraded built-in colour densitometer in this printer provides accurate colour matching and calibration. You can maintain a small average colour difference between printers by accurately recalibrating the device using a three-colour LED and condenser lens in the sensor. After a few easy steps on the printer's control panel, the colour calibration is quickly completed. Adjustments are made to the other Canon-supported media using a single colour calibration that was completed with one kind of media.
The Device Management Console software, ideal for fleet management, lets you perform colour calibrations remotely. This software lets you monitor the printer status of up to 50 units from any location in the world, be notified via email when an error has occurred, or check the amount of ink left in the printers without ever having to leave the comfort of your desk.
The unibody structure provides a strong platform for a stable print head scanning, resulting in precise ink droplet placement. The perfect combination of speed and high-quality printing is achieved with this new design.
The optional Multifunction Roll System is a flexible media handling solution system that enables either the loading of the second roll of media onto the printer or the unit's configuration as a bi-directional media Take-up unit. It also makes use of Canon's new intelligent media handling. Dual-Roll Feeding: This feature enables users to load a second roll of a different media type and size so they can switch from printing on matte to glossy paper at the same time without pausing their work to reload.
Additionally, by allowing two rolls of the same media to be fed to the printer, the second roll can be used to support high-volume printing. Bi-Directional Rewinding: The operator can also set up the Multifunction Roll System as a take-up unit to rewind longer printouts. Bi-directional rewinding is supported by the user's option to rewind media with the printed surface on the inside or outside of the roll.
